Hi Everyone. There is no doubt that we, as Huskies, are facing one of the biggest challenges in modern history. A time that has left us reeling in confusion, frustration and disappointment. It is certainly hard to believe that after our year ending so abruptly last year due to the wildfire, that we are experiencing this unfortunate situation yet again.
This is a trying time for all of us. Teachers, parents, students, support staff and the entire community are facing an ever changing reality. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for all the work they are doing to reach your children with meaningful work and learning activities. Many teachers and EA's are providing videos and google classroom lessons to keep children engaged. Continued phone calls and email contact is also providing ongoing learning opportunity in this unprecedented times.
Please, if you have questions, concerns or just need help with the work that has been sent home, do not hesitate to call us. We are here for you every day. I know that many of you are struggling to make the home-schooling as productive as possible but be assured that even the smallest amount of meaningful learning will help your child prepare for next year.
Believe me when I say that we really miss you! We spend our days here making contact with parents and students, preparing lessons, videos and google classroom activities but it is just not the same without you! These hallways are just not meant to be quiet. The playground is not meant to be empty and the silence in the gym just does not feel right!
Stay safe, follow the social distancing guidelines set out by Alberta Health and we will all get through this together. Let's do what we can to make the best of this bad situation. We want everyone to come back to us healthy when this whole covid-19 thing passes.
Take care of yourself and your family. GO HUSKIES!!
